We love to use design in ways that make an impact in the real world. This was the case with our redesign of MidlandUSA’s emergency radio. Unpredictable weather events are becoming more frequent around the world, and relying on your phone isn’t enough, especially if it’s offline or out of power. MidlandUSA’s emergency crank weather radio is critical at those times. It’s a durable, weather-resistant source of power, light, music, and news you can keep by your side to help you stay safe in the great outdoors (or even just at home if the power goes out).
How do you combine essential functionality with sleek, stylish design? This was the challenge KOODESIGN was able to solve with the redesign of an emergency radio for MidlandUSA. Modernizing the design involved adding smooth and sleek edges in a way that simplifies the overall look while keeping the functionality simple, clear and intuitive. The result is a device with a more attractive, contemporary appearance that still delivers the potentially life-saving benefits of this multi-functional product.
